So this is a blog about nothing- and anything really. I once wrote a Blog about my workmate David, and reading it back in later years has been a fantastic experience. I enjoyed taking trips down memory lane, and I particularly enjoyed the fact that I don't think I came across as arrogant or like a try-hard. It was just to record funny things that happened at work and a way of bringing some enjoyment to an otherwise dull job.
Things these days are by no means dull, and I don;t need to write a blog to entertain myself; I just thought I may enjoy looking back in the future and seeing what I was up to. Since downloading Timehop on my phone I've realised how enjoyable nostalgia is, so I suppose that's why I'm writing this now.
So what will I write on this blog? Just little notes about what has happened that day/week/month. It'll be interesting to nobody except for myself and maybe Jade, but that's the point.
Today then...
Today was an INSET day at work, so we got to sit in on meetings instead of teaching the kiddywinks. I always like these days as they relieve the pressure a bit and remind me that I get on well with quite a lot of the people that I work with. Today was a busy day (in the middle of turbo sessions so had to prepare a Media Studies one on TV News (snore)) but had some good 'bants' too. Having collected my winners medal for the Fantasy league on Monday I got a few congratulations, but Aislynn wouldn't let me celebrate much because apparently I get too big headed. Fair point I suppose...
Chat at work was about our honeymoon planning (was New York and Bermuda, now looks like it'll be Orlando and Bermuda!) amongst other things. Several members of staff have joined the Slimming World revolution and Jade had Dominos pizza for lunch. Of course, I ate all of mine last night.
We also got our green envelopes for our save the dates in the post today, so we've started going those out. It's very exciting- becoming more real now! :)
Oh, and we bought a bird feeder the other day and the goldfinches love it. We are the goldfinch kings of Oak Road.
